Week 3 College Football Lines, Betting Odds, & Spreads

Dave Price lists all the week 3 college football point spreads below in this week’s odds article. While the SEC East Tennessee versus Florida matchup promises to get a lot of buzz, the USC versus Nebraska battle in Lincoln should be well worth tuning into. The Trojans are the favorites to win the Pac 10 and the Huskers are the favorites to win the Big 12 North. The oddsmakers have set the line at -10 in favor of the Trojans. While USC has the better team on paper, let’s just say that Lincoln is not an easy place to win and that the Trojans will have their work cut out for themselves. Early season in-state rivalry battles are always good places to cash as better teams often lose against the spread because their weaker opponent gets really jacked up for the big game and plays better than normal. Also, the books often times don’t have a real sense of how big these rivalries really are and their lines reflect it. Iowa versus Iowa State and Cincinnati versus Miami Ohio are a couple in-state rivalry matchups that may be worth taking a look at this week.
