Here are the week 16 NFL predictions:
Thursday, 12/20/2007
Pittsburgh Steelers 25
St Louis Rams 18
The Rams play has improved and the Steelers have struggled on the road this season. That’s why we don’t see double digit chalk here for Pittsburgh. However, the books still give the edge to the more accomplished team.
Saturday, 12/22/2007
Dallas Cowboys 27
Carolina Panthers 16
With Carolina just 2-5 at home this season and the Cowboys needing to win to keep home field in the NFC, oddsmakers feel the Boys get the job done easily.
Sunday, 12/23/2007
Cleveland Browns 23
Cincinnati Bengals 20
The 9-5 Browns get the edge on the road against 5-9 Cincy.
Green Bay Packers 24
Chicago Bears 13
With Green Bay competing for home field and Chicago officially eliminated from the hunt, oddsmakers like the Pack.
Houston Texans 19
Indianapolis Colts 26
Indy will play smart with its guys having already clinched the #2 spot in the AFC, but it will not sacrifice a home win to a division rival in the process.
Kansas City Chiefs 19
Detroit Lions 24
Both of these teams have fallen into terrible ruts. Home field gives the edge to the Lions who should be able to do some damage passing against the Chiefs in the dome
New York Giants 17
Buffalo Bills 15
Buffalo’s defense has been good at home. Oddsmakers like the Bills to give New York a run for the money, but come up just short.
Oakland Raiders 13
Jacksonville Jaguars 26
The Jags are playing as well as anyone right now. The books see them steam rolling right into the postseason with another win over lowly Oakland.
Philadelphia Eagles 22
New Orleans Saints 25
Oddsmakers see a bit of a letdown spot here for Philly, who will have trouble getting up for this non-division game a week after upsetting the Cowboys.
Atlanta Falcons 17
Arizona Cardinals 27
The Falcons are one of the worst road teams in the NFL. Arizona will have its way according to the books.
Baltimore Ravens
Seattle Seahawks
Oddsmakers will show with this line that they don’t feel the Ravens will be able to get back up from last week’s loss to Miami.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 21
San Francisco 49ers 15
Tampa Bay is the better team here and despite it’s road struggles at times, the books hand the advantage to the Bucs.
Miami Dolphins 12
New England Patriots 34
Oddsmakers are showing that they feel the Pats can beat the Dolphins as bad as they want.
New York Jets 14
Tennessee Titans 23
The Jets have had a disappointing season to say the least. We might have seen some inspired play down the stretch if they could have pulled off an upset over the Pats. Oddsmakers feel the Jets have cashed it in.
Washington Redskins 17
Minnesota Vikings 23
The Redskins have caught a little fire, but the Vikes are blazing. The books like Minnesota’s running attack against the Skins in the dome.
Monday, 12/24/2007
Denver Broncos 19
San Diego Chargers 28
The Broncos have not gotten the job done on the road all season. San Diego is clearly its best at home as evidence by its 6-1 mark this season.
