20% Bonus Where the Pros Play!

Below are the week 1 NFL predictions by taking what the odds makers think the score is going to be.  This entails who is going to win and by how many points.  If you are in an office pool where all you have to do is pick winners or you are in a survivor league where you just have to pick one game and have it not lose, then use this as a tool for adding to your winning percentage.  Remember, these are predictions which are educated guesses and not solid gold, and they are based on what the odds makers expect.

New Orleans Saints 22
Indianapolis Colts 28

The odds makers see this one as somewhat of a shootout as this game has the highest total of any game in the first week.  It stands to reason since these two teams have the best offenses in the NFL and should once again be really good on that side of the ball.  The question marks are on defense.

Sunday September 9th, 2007

Kansas City Chiefs 20
Houston Texans 19

Tough game to pick but the edge has been given to Kansas City.

Denver Broncos 20
Buffalo Bills 17

Denver gets off to a good start against the young team from Buffalo.

Pittsburgh Steelers 21
Cleveland Browns 17

Just because Bill Cowher is gone doesn’t mean this team is going to start losing to the bottom feeders of their division.

Tennessee Titans 15
Jacksonville Jaguars 22

With nobody on offense other than Vince Young this team is going to struggle against one of the best defenses in the AFC.

Carolina Panthers 22
St. Louis Rams 21

Panthers defense versus the Rams offense with Carolina coming out on top.

Philadelphia Eagles 23
Green Bay Packers 20

You are going to see Andy Reid return to Green Bay, where he was an assistant for several years, and get his season started off on the right track against Favre and company.

Atlanta Falcons 17
Minnesota Vikings 20

Joey Harrington is with another team, and another team is going to finish with a sub .500 record.  Minnesota isn’t going to be good this year, but they’ll be good enough to win in Week 1.

Miami Dolphins 17
Washington Redskins 20

Both of these teams are going to have strong running games which should lead to a ground and pound contest.  If you like a lot of passing this game could make you wince, a lot.

New England Patriots 24
New York Jets 17

The Jets got the Pats one time last year, but New England seemed to get things figured out in the post-season.  They are the team to beat and will get off to a good start in making quick work of New York.

Tampa Bay Bucs 17
Seattle Seahawks 24

Tampa is going to struggle this year with their defense aging.  The offense should be improved but it will be no match for a healthy Seahawk squad.

Chicago Bears 19
San Diego Chargers 24

The Bears may be Super Bowl contenders, but that’s because they are in the NFC’s elite and not the same side with San Diego, New England, and Indy.

Detroit Lions 17
Oakland Raiders 18

How will Duante Culpepper do with the Raiders?  Looks like better than Moss did if he could play the Lions every week.

New York Giants 20
Dallas Cowboys 24

The Wade Phillips era is going to start out with a lot of smiles and a happy Jerry Jones with a division win over the Giants.

Monday September 10th, 2007

Baltimore Ravens 20
Cincinnati Bengals 23

This will be a big win for Cincy over last year’s division champion.

Arizona Cardinals 21
San Francisco 49ers 24

A lot of people are expecting big things out of San Fran this year and while we are not jumping on that band wagon quite yet, they are good enough to beat the team from the desert.
