This summer, if you know how to bet on baseball then you can keep making money with sports betting.  This is one of the easiest sports to handicap and the sportsbooks just try to make it through the summer breaking even.  We want to encourage everyone to hop on board the bandwagon and bet baseball since it’s so easy to make extra profits during these summer months.  We think it’s because not everyone knows how to place wagers on the basepads, so we want to clear up the misconceptions and get you riding the money train.

Of course the easiest way to make money on these games is to pick up a baseball picks package from Dave Price and the Priceless Picks staff.  We have done a great job in previous seasons at making clients money and there is nobody else in the business working like we do to help our clients profit.

Betting the Money Lines
The most popular form of MLB betting, and how we do most of our wagering is with the money line.  These odds are normally expressed in the form of $100 bets, so a negative number means how much money you are going to have to risk in order to win $100, and a positive number means how much money you are going to win if you risk $100.  Let’s take a look at an example:

New York +125
Boston -145

If you want to bet on New York then you risk $100 in order to win $125, but you can risk any denomination thereof, so if you risk $1 then you would win $1.25.  If you like the favorite here, which is Boston, then you for every $1.45 you risk you will win $1. It’s just that easy.

One thing that you will notice when looking at the baseball odds is just how important it is to shop around for the best lines, and if you find dime line sportsbooks then you are going to be even better off.  The reason is that for every win and loss you are going to be making more or losing less money with each bet.  This is hard earned cash that will add up over the course of a season.

Totals
Baseball totals are very similar to football and baseball.  This number refers to how many runs both teams will combine to score for the game.  This will include extra innings if it goes past nine.  Both listed pitchers must start the game or else your wager will be no action and your stake will be refunded.

Run Lines
This is as close as it gets to a spread in baseball.  The underdog will get 1.5 runs and the favorite will lay 1.5 points and it drives the money line to different amounts.  For the favorite to win money for its backers, the team is going to have to win by two or more runs.  The underdog can lose the game and still win the game if it’s a one run ball game.
