The Giants come into their round two matchup playing good football. Eli Manning doesn’t look quite so much like the scared puppy that he has been in the past. The Giants have preferred the road this season, or at least it would seem that way. Last week’s win at Tampa Bay was their eighth straight road victory. But Dallas is the only team that has given the Giants a road loss this year and the G-Men will be back in the Big D to try to avenge two losses to the Boys in this one. The Giants were very successful last week at getting to Garcia and they’ll try to bring the heat again this week against Romo. Both QBs are very similar in their ability to maneuver outside the pocket, so the defense should know what it needs to do to contain Romo.

The bye week could prove to be very beneficial for Dallas as it will enable Terrell Owens to get on the field. Is effectiveness is uncertain, but his presence in the lineup should give the Boys a lift, and if nothing else, could serve as a decoy. But it’s not like Owens is Romo’s only target. Jason Witten and Patrick Crayton are options that the Giants will have to account for. The ground game could be what gives New York the edge. The two headed running back monster of Marion Barber and Julius Jones has been a tough one to stop. Defensively, Wade Phillips has helped the Cowboys improve. Dallas is giving up 20.3ppg, 213.1 passing ypg, and 94.6 rushing yards per game.
