20% Bonus Where the Pros Play!

Football betting is one of the things that goes along with baseball and American Pie when it comes to favorite American pastimes.  Whether you like heading to the counters in Las Vegas to place your bets, wager with your friends, or just play fantasy football then most likely you have had some money change hands on your football picks.  However, many people who think they know all there is to know end up missing out on some valuable bets, so we are going to detail all the major points of football betting here, for both college and the NFL.

1.  Point Spreads - With football the majority of betting is done with point spreads.  This adds a little bit of a skill factor to the game as you can’t just place bets on who is going to win, but if betting favorites you have to win by a number of points.  On the other hand if you like the underdog you don’t have to hope they come out on top, but you can get a few points on the board before the game even starts.  Take a good looks at the point spread before deciding which team to bet.

2.  Money Lines - If you don’t like messing with the point spread then you bet the money lines.  This is similar to baseball and hockey lines in that you either wager more to win less on favorites or wager less to win more on underdogs.  In order to use this form of betting we recommend you take a look at the percentage a team needs to win in order to show value, simply add your risk amount and win amount together which is divided by the risk amount.  If you think the team has a better than that percentage chance to win, bet the money line.

3.  Totals - You don’t even have to pick the winner of the game to get in on the action.  You can also bet on the total number of points both teams will score.  This is not a very popular wager but is a great way to win some money if you have some inside information on the weather conditions on the field.

4.  Money Management - Don’t end your season early.  Bet what you can afford to lose and don’t press.  If you try doubling down when you lose, you are going to get cleaned out.  If you press when you are up, then you aren’t going to walk away with as much profit as you should.  Picking winners is half the battle, and that’s the part we can help you with by signing up for our college football and NFL picks.
