Dave Price has weighed the 2008 World Series Odds and is ready to make his World Series prediction. Will it be the Red Sox again or will another team emerge out of the American League? Find out who Dave is taking all the way in his 2008 MLB predictions article.

There’s no question that the Boston Red Sox will be a force to be reckoned with. The 2007 World Series champions have big bats and a great starting rotation. With Josh Beckett getting the ball twice in any series, one has to like Boston’s chances.

The LA Angels and the Detroit Tigers are two more AL teams with the ability to challenge the defending champs. The Halos added pitcher Jon Garland and centerfielder Torii Hunter to a team which ran away with the AL West in 2007. The Tigers added pitcher Dontrelle Willis and slugger Miguel Cabrera to their already stacked list of talent. These teams have done all they can to win it all, now they just have to execute.

It took a playoff game to get the Rockies into the postseason and they took advantage by riding their late season win streak all the way to the World Series. I don’t think the Rockies have the starting pitching to make it back. The Arizona Diamondbacks, Philadelphia Phillies, and Chicago Cubs should be making the most noise in the National League this season.

The Snakes added Dan Haren to an already formidable staff which features Brandon Webb and Randy Johnson. The Phillies have three of the best players in the game in Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins, and Chase Utley. The Cubs add Kosuke Fukudome to the likes of Alfonso Soriano, Derrek Lee, and Aramis Ramirez.

And one can never rule out the New York teams. The Yankees have some of the best offensive weapons in baseball and the Rockies showed in 2007 that it doesn’t take an All-Star rotation to get to the World Series. The Mets added ace Johan Santana and boasts MVP candidates David Wright, Jose Reyes, and Carlos Beltran. Their is definitely enough talent in New York to see another Subway Series.

Find out which of these teams Dave Price has meeting in the World Series in his 2008 World Series predictions article. For an in depth look at all of the teams in both the American and National Leagues, check out Dave’s individual team prediction articles.
