The odds to win the 2008 NCAA basketball title are listed below so you can see which teams oddsmakers feel have the best shot at cutting down the nets in the final game of the season.

Oddsmakers feel there are four teams with enough depth, defense, talent, and experience worth really taking a look at. The North Carolina Tar Heels are the odds on favorites. UNC is off to a fast 17-0. With All-American Tyler Hansbrough among the best bigs in the country and Ty Lawson among the best distributors in the nation, the Heels definitely have the personnel to get the job done. After being denied by Georgetown late in the NCAA Tourney last season, you can bet this group of talented youngsters is ready to go down in history as one of the great Carolina teams. Bet North Carolina at Bodog Sportsbook at 3/1 odds.

UCLA is next in line by oddsmakers. The Bruins, of course, have made consecutive Final Four appearances and will be looking to finally break through this season. UCLA is currently the 4th ranked team in the country with a 16-1 record. The addition of blue chip freshman Kevin Love has made a championship run for the Bruins a reality. If preseason All-American Darren Collison can get healthy, the Bruins will have the talent and experience to bring a title back to legendary UCLA. Get UCLA at 7/2 odds.

John Calipari’s Memphis Tigers are 15-0 to start the season. The only thing that may hold back this high energy team is the lack of competition it will be playing in a lesser conference. We know Memphis is good with wins over UConn, Georgetown, and Arizona, but those programs are not of the same level as the aforementioned. Bodog Sportsbook has Memphis at 5/1 odds.

The Kansas Jayhawks come in right after Memphis at 17-0 to start the season. Kansas is punishing its opposition right now and is one of the deepest teams in college hoops. Brandon Rush, Russell Robinson, and Mario Chalmers are all third year starters and Sherron Collins and Darrell Arthur are two of the nation’s top sophs. Kansas went 33-5 last season making the Elite 8 and have to be one of your favorites to win it all this time around. Bet the Jayhawks at 6/1 odds.

If you are looking for a little more bang for your buck and think there might be a 2, 3, 4, or 5 seed that could make a run, check out some of these teams.

Duke is having a solid season and boasts one of the best coaches in the nation. We look for the Blue Devils to be a 2 or a 3 seed with enough talent to beat anybody, but depth could be their downfall, much as it was a few seasons ago with Redick and Williams and not much else.

Tennessee in the SEC, Washington State out of the Pac-10, Michigan State from the Big Ten, and Georgetown from the Big East are all top teams that will give you a little bit more value for you wager.

Dave Price is off to a red hot start in college hoops. It’s high time you signed up for a college basketball picks package to see the kinds of profits he can make you on a weekly basis.
