BetUS has listed its 2007 Superbowl MVP Odds and to the surprise of no one Peyton Manning is favored, at 9 to 5 odds, to bring home the Super Bowl MVP trophy.  If you are expecting the Colts to raise the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl 41 against the Chicago Bears, Peyton Manning should be your bet to win the Super Bowl MVP Award. Quarterbacks always have the most opportunities to make plays throughout the course of a game and if the Colts win it will be because of Peyton Manning, as the case has been in nearly every game this season including the AFC Championship game. Receiver Harrison and Wayne, would be the next likely choices as the Colts throw the ball more than any other team in the league, however, my feelings are that if these guys have a good game, it will be because of Manning and he will get to take home the award as he is the face of the franchise and really the NFL.

If you’re looking for a solid candidate on the Chicago Bears, I would advise you to look right past Rex Grossman to Thomas Jones and Brian Urlacher. Though the Colts have done well against the run in the playoffs, I wouldn’t say they are now immune to giving up a big day on the ground especially when facing a physical Chicago Bears offensive line. Urlacher also becomes a very noteworthy candidate because of how the Bears play. Lovie Smith has often put the game in the hands of his defense to win games as opposed to his offense. It was the defense which delivered against the Saints in the NFC Title game and if the Bears come away with a victory in Super Bowl 41, it will likely be because of the defense once again.
